All Out just won Indie of the Year at the How Do Awards! We think it's well deserved as we've been working extremely hard over the last year and we would like to thank everyone who has contributed to All Out's success, well done us!
All Out's Radio 4 programme 'The Ambassador's Reception' was reviewed for a new collection of essays and reviews on Turkish history and also in Turkish Newsweek (although we can't read it so we're just hoping it's complimentary!)
All Out is looking for a Senior Content Producer to join the team. - 5th February 2010
We are currently developing ideas which incorporate games, video and audio for console, media and the web.We are looking for an experienced programme maker with sound BBC editorial experience (knowledge of BBC editorial guidelines and compliance issues are crucial) but importantly you’ll have desire to create ambitious digital content.
Some experience in developing and producing audio, video and text content for the web would be a considerable advantage within this role. You’ll have hands-on production and editorial skills and will have some management experience. As Senior content producer you’ll oversee productions as well as occasionally producing yourself and you’ll be the key point of contact for existing clients. Martin Sheen shines with us for Radio 2 - 18th December 2009
In a massive coup for All Out, Hollywood legend Martin Sheen has teamed up with us to present a special documentary for BBC Radio 2
Sheen who played the President of the USA in The West Wing narrated our hour long doc telling the story of when Elvis Presley turned up at the White House to meet President Richard Nixon.
The meeting in December 1970 came about after Elvis wrote to Nixon asking for an audience, but in a twist he asked for a special FBI badge to give him the power to rid America of drug users - he was given one which is still on show in Graceland

All Out follows the real Didier Drogba - 7th December 2009
In March this year 20 football fans were crushed to death as The Ivory Coast team played a World Cup qualifier.
Chelsea star Didier Drogba was playing in that game and was so shocked at the incident and the treatment injured fans recieved th he vowed to raise £5 million pounds to build a new hospital in the countrys capital, and Drogbas home town Abidjan.
Jo Meek travelled back to The Ivory Coast with Drogba and 5live Sports Ian McGarry to hear why he is raising the money, and to find out a different side to one of the most controversial players in the game.

Steve Earle Sings the Praises of Pete Seeger - 13th November 2009
American country star Steve Earle has joined All Out for our special documentary on American protest singing legend Pete Seeger
Radio 2 have cleared their normal schedules on December the 9th to pay tribute to Seeger who turned 90 this year
As well as been a great singer songwriter himself Earle has his own radio show in the USA and its fantastic that he is on board
We will soon have some big sparkly news about a Hollywood legend who will be joining All Out to present a programme for us, keep checking back for that announcement

Today's Justin joins All Out again - 6th October 2009
Today presenter Justin Webb has joined All Out again for a second time to investigate American health care reforms.
After working with All Out Producer Gemma Newby on a programme about Diabetes care. they travelled back to Washington to look at how proposed health care reforms being pushed through by President Obama could affect us in the UK.
It's great that Justin was so keen to work with us again, and also that Radio 4 were as keen to commission the programme quickly from All Out on such an important topic.

All Out Land More BBC Programmes - 20th July 2009
We have had some really good news from the latest commissioning rounds for Radio 2 and Radio 4.
We have been asked to make documentaries about a wide range of subjects for Radio 2 from a programme examining the political side of Elvis Presley, a special to mark the 90th birthday of protest singer Pete Seeger and a four part Christmas series about carols around Britain.
Amongst the successes we have had with Radio 4 will be a look at ship building on the River Clyde through the very personal experiences of 'Just a Minute' Chairman Nicholas Parson.
We will also be investigating the rise and fall of Yugoslavian leader Tito, and its effect on the war-ravaged region.
The programmes will be broadcast from last Autumn right in to 2010, and, along with us being chosen as one of the limited suppliers for Radio 4 Arts output will help us to continue our long relationships with both networks.

We walked away with a Commendation from Thursdays nights How Do Awards held at Old Trafford
The awards brought together creative companies from around the North West and All Out came second to Channel K in the best Independent Production Company category

We have had a steady stream of cast members from Coronation Street through the front door over the past couple of weeks - the reason being is that we have been producing a short series of podcasts for The Streets own website. You can listen to Corrie uber-fan Jeremy Kyle and see a behind the scenes video shot at the All Out offices at http://www.itv.com/Soaps/coronationstreet.
We have had a good few programmes to get out over the past couple of weeks including investigations for Radio Scotland and Radio 4, and a highly personal profile of Gil Scott Heron by Lemn Sissay called Pieces of a Man which went out on Radio 4
Coming up, we have a look at the eco-life of former Poet Laureate Ted Hughes presented by Huddersfield poet Simon Armitage (15th May at 11am) and also an investigation into how designers are to blame for our throw-away culture in 'The Landfill Designers' (14th May at 9pm) - both on BBC Radio 4
We will also be starting a new series for the GMG Network looking at the most successful rock managers in history. 'Svengalis' will kick off on Sunday 7th of June...and more about that nearer the time

Quick turnaround to tell Bushfire Stories - 16th February 2009
Radio 5 Live cleared their Sunday evening schedules for a special All Out production on February the 15th.
Thanks to ABC Melbourne we were able to bring some moving stories from the recent bush fires that have swept the Australian state of Victoria.
The half hour programme produced by Jo Meek and Richard McIlroy was presented by 5lives Stephen Nolan and it can be heard again until Sunday the 22nd of February at:

Jesse Jackson to open up labels series - 10th February 2009
In a great coup for All Out, the Reverend Jesse Jackson will present the first of new series about the worlds most iconic record labels for the GMG Radio Network.
Reverend Jackson was a key figure in the civil rights movement in the 1960's, and he will tell how the great Stax record label was inextricably linked with its political ideals, he will also recount his memories of the day Martin Luther King was assassinated in Memphis.
The series starts on March 1st 2008 Century, Real and Smooth Radio

All Out teams up with GMG again - 17th December 2008
We are really pleased to have been asked to produce another series for the GMG Radio Network. Hot on the heels of our epic 'Smooth Soul Nation' we are now in production with a new series, which will tell the stories of some of the great record labels from Motown to Stax and Stiff to Factory.
The 8 part series will run across the GMG stations nationwide in early 2009

Recorded along the Ashton Canal that runs through the city centre they were presented by author, journalist and pounk band leader Jon Robb. They can be downloaded at different points along the canal where you see the yellow signposts.

You've Got Soul - 29th September 2008
Our 6 part series for the Real/Smooth/Century networks on the history of Soul music began in real style with Mary Wilson presenting our first programme
'You've Got Soul' which runs until early November and will feature different presenters every week, with Kiki Dee and David Grant among those telling the great stories and playing the memorable music of a particular decade in soul music.

All Out win first GMG commissions - 21st July 2008
We have been commissioned to make a six part series by GMG Radio telling the history of soul music in the UK - this is our first commission since GMG announced that they were making £1m available to independent productions companies
The series will air on Saturday afternoons across the GMG network of stations, Real Radio, Century and Smooth brands
Radio 2 go All Out for AOP - 2nd July 2008
All Out have just picked up their biggest haul of commissions from BBC Radio 2. The 4 programmes include a 4 part series 'Wish You Were There' which will take a music star back to in time to a gig or festival they wish they had been at. We have also been asked to produce a 2 part investigation for the station asking whether the charts are still as important as they once were, and two one-off documentarys looking at the life of American protest singer Phil Ochs and also examining the Leonard Cohen song 'Hallejulah' through the eyes of the singers who have covered it.
This is great news for All Out and we are delighted to be able to build on our realtionship with Radio 2.
More Sony Success for All Out - 29th June 2008
All Out Productions walked away with another Sony Award in May. We picked up the bronze award in the Community Category for our powerful documentary ‘Asian Nation’ broadcast on BBC Asian Network.
The programme, produced by All Out’s Gail Champion, was part of the station’s landmark Asian Nation season, marking 60 years since the partition of India and the formation of Pakistan. The Sony judges were clearly impressed with the programme, commending at as: “Bold broadcasting, bridging the generations as it told its story in both a moving and entertaining way. It was presented with a great sense of professionalism and brought understanding as it tackled a wide variety of issues... some of which were extremely difficult”.
This latest award, presented at the 'glittering' award ceremony at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel, was the company’s 10th Sony triumph.
